The curse of Miracle's Birthday
The moon has turned blue again and my fingers begin to itch. The hair on my body stands as I writhe in pain, yearning for the touch of the mouse under my hands and the smell of the coffee on the computer table. I am transforming into a blogger once again!! heheh!!!
Yeah, many of you must be wondering where I have disappeared to. But the life of a "were-blogger" is hard. Balancing between a life as a normal human being and being a "were-blogger" once the moon has turned blue is like a curse. But of course, you are here not to read about my "were-blogging" curse but the curse of my little girl's birthday.
It all started when little Miracle turned one years old. We took our little camera and our little girl to my aunt's house where we were celebrating Miracle's birthday. You see there was no indication at all that a curse was about to unfold. The skies were clear and everyone was cheerful. We ate much and partied even more. Miracle was so cute in her little party dress and we took so many photos that I was afraid the computer might run out of memory to store all the photos. However, that was a fear that was unnecessary. You see, when we went home to load the photos into the PC, IT WAS GONE! Just like that. Our SD card malfunctioned. Kaput!! Without saying goodbye. how cruel can life be. :(
Then, we picked up the pieces of our photo taking life. Reminiscing often the time when we could confidently take photos and upload it into the computer. The painful memory of losing all of Miracle's birthday photos became a past. As her 2nd birthday began to draw near, we began to hope again. What kind of pretty pictures will we capture this time? How do i want to put it in my blog? I was so excited.
Then, the big day came and we took her to my mom's house, cut a lovely cake and had a marvelous celebration. We went home confident that this time, everything will be alright. You see, we forgot our camera and used my mom's instead. Hers was newer and better. Surely such a camera will not fail us. I called my sister a few days later, asking for the photos and shockingly discovered...
the SD card is not working.
Could this be? Two years in a row?
Noooo....!!
Can we be so unfortunate never to have photos of our little girl on her birthday? Oh, she will not be little much longer. She will not be a chubby adorable toddler forever!! Who will ever have the camera to brave this curse and take photos of my darling next year?
And that my friends, was what happened on Miracle's birthday. So, anyone of you brave enuf to take a photo of my Miracle on her birthday next year please offer your cameras. hahahaha!!! (evil laugh).
